My trip to Salt Spring Island always makes me smile. While having tea and scones one afternoon, I met a couple who were celebrating their anniversary with their family at the hotel. It was an annual tradition they have been doing with their children for many years.

Sun tea was the very first tea I was introduced to, then hot tea at a popular Chinese restaurant. During my college years, I drank herbal tea and coffee. Hot Indian milk tea became my favorite weekend tea after I moved to California until the man who later became my husband made me my first “proper” cup of tea with a plate of biscuits.
