This birthday, I experienced two very different afternoon teas, one with my son and one with a close friend. Interestingly, neither were located in actual tea rooms but they still provided that afternoon tea satisfaction I love.

I was thrilled when my son asked if he and his girlfriend could make scones over the weekend. She’s had my scones on more than one occasion and wanted to make them for her mother. Of course, I was more than happy to take them into my world.
